Notice of System Outage due to Malware Attacks

OSG Corporation (President: Nobuaki Osawa; headquarters: 3-22 Honnogahara, Toyokawa City, Aichi Preffecture) detected a failure on its core system server in the early morning of April 12, 2023. Some servers and PC terminals have confirmed to be infected by computer viruses.
The company has immediately terminated the server, blocked the network, stopped all systems, and proceeded with the recovery work sequentially while identifying the impact range and taking proper measures.
We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused to all parties involved. The circumstances and responses that have been known so far are as follows:
1. Record of incident up to this point
[Wednesday, April 12]
Around 6 a.m., a failure was detected on our core system server.
Around 8 a.m., confirmation of virus infection on our core system server.
Around 10 a.m., disconnection of network with business partners and external parties.
Stopped all servers and computer terminals thereafter.
2. Current situation and future response
Along with the measures to prevent the spread of the infection led by the IT department, we have set up a company-wide countermeasure headquarters, appointed external experts, and are consulting with appropriate organizations.
We will do our best to clarify the full extent of this case and restore our system as soon as possible.
